Part 3 of our crazy Halloween week!

So I cheated a little and changed around a few dates for easier posting. Keep scrolling down and you'll find four new posts. And hey, let me know if you're reading by dropping a comment!

What a busy day already (and we haven't even trick or treated yet!)

Today at school we got to paint pumpkins and eat cupcakes! Griffin really seems to enjoy painting but I think it may have something to do with the mess it creates.

Come to think of it, the same thing could be said about cupcakes!

After school we rushed downtown to get our pictures taken in costume by Studio S and visit with our friends. We had a hayride and games but we were too busy to take any pictures of it.

Shew, is Halloween over yet?! I'm exhausted! ;)

Part 2!

On Thursday we had our traditional pumpkin carving party at Nanny's. Griffin "helped" by getting the pumpkin seeds out and overseeing the carving. We couldn't have done it without him!

Helping Nanny with her witch.

Telling Mama where to carve for the pirate ship with Daddy overseeing as well.

The finished product!

Hopefully the ship will last through the week so we can have it at Griffin's birthday party!

Happy Halloween from the Blounts (even Maddy!)

part 1 (of 3!) of our busy week!

On Wednesday we met several of our friends for the Kingsland First United Methodist Church's Fall Festival. Kate and Gabe were with us too but I didn't get any pictures!

♥ The lovebirds, these two are so sweet! ♥

"Little" Emma and Berry Brycie!

Griffin's very favorite: the bean bag toss!

the 2nd generation

On Saturday Griffin got to spend some time with Avery!
He kept bringing her toys and bibs to play with. Her teeny feet didn't reach the bottom of the exersaucer so he tried to pile up enough toys for her feet to rest on, it was really very sweet.

This is the first time he's ever held a baby, I think he did pretty well and I'm so glad that Avery could be the first one. Avery, on the other hand, didn't seem as convinced!

There's something really special about seeing your best friend's child and your own together.

We love you guys.

Because best friends stay to do the dishes

Happy Birthday Phoebe!!

You are the most giving, selfless person I know and my life is so much better and more fun with you in it. Thank you for being Griffin's "Fifi" and thank you for being one of the best friends anyone could ask for. I LOVE YOU DARLING! I hope your day had been as wonderful as you are. Can't wait for The Melting Pot!

I'd like to welcome two friends to the world of blogging. Ashley, who started Double Trouble - Doubly Blessed, is the awesome mommy to twins Ava & Bryce.

And Bridget, the fun loving mommy to another Ava created Our Wonderful Life.

I'm SO EXCITED that you girls have taken the plunge, you'll be blogging addicts in no time!

(Ok--now it's your turn Stephanie and Sarah! Get on it!)
We've decided to have some downtime lately. We've got some REEALLY busy weeks ahead so I thought it wouldn't hurt to take it easy.

Happy Birthday Kate!!

Happy Birthday Princess Katelyn Amelia!!

We arrived at Princess Kate's to find the most beautiful castle in all the land. King John did an amazing job building it for his Princess. Some VERY special visitors stopped in to see the Princess and her friends.

Griffin got to make his very own sparkling jeweled crown.
I don't think he took it off for the rest of the party!

Hunting for Dragon eggs!

Princess Kate dancing with her King John.
A most beautiful cake made by Queen Deanna and Phoebe and Sarah, you guys did an incredible (and tasty) job!
Now for the big moment: Kate got a car fit for a princess!
She was kind enough to let her friends ride and drive in it. What a sweet and thoughtful Princess!

Thank you so much for letting us be a part of all of your birthday celebrations! I love watching Griffin and Kate play and roughhouse then turn around and be sweet to one another, they really are two peas in a pod. I can't wait to share many more birthdays together. (And who knows, maybe in 13 years Griffin and Kate will be driving off for the first time together for real!)
