Griffin's Pirate Party!

This was Griffin the night before his party:

Pirate Pinkeye!

Thanks to the world of modern medicine (and lots of prayers) after 24 hours of being on antibiotics he wasn't contagious and was feeling better so the party was a go!

I searched high and low for a pirate costume for Maddy Mae only to have her take it off in .5 seconds! At least I got a picture.

The same goes for the cake - thank goodness I got a picture before the legendary shipwreck of '08...

A few of our friends who came for the pirate party!

Before we knew it, it was time for presents. All of Griffin's friends helped him open, even Madeline, Gabe and Georgia!

I think these two could make anything fun!

Happy birthday time and yummy shipwreck cake.

Thank you Aunt Erica for coming ALLLL the way from Virginia for Griffin's birthday!

Finally some bouncehouse fun!

Even the adults got in on the action!

Thank you family and friends for making our birthday so special and fun, we love you!!

Griffin's Special Day

Griffin started out the day by putting on his "Look at me I'm finally 3!" shirt. My intention was to give him waffles with whip cream and strawberries. I didn't quite make it to the grocery store so he had waffles with vanilla icing and grapes! Don't make a face, he LOVED it! (And has since asked for them every morning.)

After cupcakes at school it was time for a special lunch with our friends at Chick-fil-A. Ms. Deanna gave Griffin a sweet surpise, dress up clothes! Thank you guys!

After a handful of chicken nuggets it was time to play!

Gabe loves being in the thick of things and even when he's not...

..he's always watching :)

Our last big event was a birthday dinner at Cracker Barrell with all the family (except Aunt Erica & Uncle Andrew--we missed you guys!) We had the staff sing to Griffin which I thought he'd love but he surprised us all and was very, very shy. It didn't help that he never did nap and I think he was practically in a sugar coma!

I'M THREE!

Happy Birthday sweet boy!

Happy Birthday Georgia!

Sweet, little Georgia! I can't believe it's been a year since you came into this world. It seems like just yesterday we were visiting you in the hospital!

Happy Birthday Cousin Georgia, we love you!!
