Cookie time at Nanny's and a quick story.

Griffin loves baking with Nanny and on Saturday he got to use Christmas cookie cutters and then frost the cookies when they were done!

Aunt Erica helped with the writing.

They were yummy, thanks Nanny!

Later that day I noticed Griffin staring intently at our (very fragile) nativity scene. I told him to look with his eyes and not touch. He continued looking for a little bit and walked away. About an hour later I walked by and noticed something a little off....

Oh goodness, where is the baby Jesus?!? Look closer....

Griffin had put Jesus in Mary's arms "where he belongs" he told us.

Happy Birthday Nanny!

Today is the birthday of one of our most favorite people: NANNY!

Thank you for being such a fun Nanny (and amazing Mom!) We love you so very much!!

Below is one of her favorite videos with Griffin. He was just about to be two.

Yesterday evening Nanny came by to get Griffin because she needed someone to help her make cupcakes...Griffin was glad to lend his services!

The best part...beaters! Griffin was too enamored with his own to even notice that Aunt Erica had taken the other!

Can't forget the sprinkles!

And FINALLY! MMMMM!

There's not much more on this Earth Griffin loves more than cupcakes. Thanks Nanny!

Family Sunday

I really enjoy Sundays. We have a bit of a routine most Sundays: church, lunch with family and/or friends, naptime (fingerscrossed!) and then downtime. Sundays are normally family days. It's never been official and there are certainly days where we don't see everyone but more often than not we see Mimi, Papa, Uncle Brent, Aunt Jules, "Cousin" (Grayson), Georgia and lastly Nanny, Papa & Aunt Erica. Whew! Luckily 3 of the 4 of those families live within minutes of each other!

After church and lunch with family there was a beautiful (and much needed) nap. Nanny called and wanted to spend some time with Griffin.

Off to Nanny's house.

But WAIT!! What about my Big Wheels?

Griffin is a speed demon on those things. Once he got tall enough to actually pedal he was off and hasn't stopped since! Griffin spent time with Nanny, Papa and Aunt Erica while Mama & Daddy went to the movies! They cooked and played and Papa even shared some of his sweet tea.

Then it was time to go home and head to bed.
